The domestic terrorists in Antifa and Black Lives Matter have accomplished one thing: the most costly riots in the history of our country, reports the far-left Axios. Property Claim Services, a company that tracks insurance claims filed due to riots and the like, found that the left-wing riots that occurred between May 26 and June 8 of this year could reach $2 billion in insurance claims. Obviously, because the left’s domestic terrorism extended well beyond June 8 and is still ongoing, the company acknowledges “this is still happening, so the losses could be significantly more.” Most importantly, these estimates are all being compared based on 2020 dollars. Meaning, previous riots, like the 1992 Rodney King Riots in Los Angeles, cost $775 million in 1992 dollars. That adds up to $1.42 billion today, which is still lower than the $2 billion Black Lives Matter Riots estimate — which again only covers eight or nine days of rioting that has never really stopped. Here’s a piece of perspective that shocked even me… If you add up the insurance cost in 2020 dollars for all six major American riots during the turbulent 1960s, the total is a little shy of $1.2 billion — which means the terrorists in Antifa and Black Lives Matter caused more mayhem and property damage in a little over a week than this country saw throughout all of the 1960s. To the surprise of no one, Axios still uses the term “mostly peaceful” to describe what’s happening. There’s also this helpful non sequitur: “ Yes, but: These losses are small compared with those stemming from natural disasters like hurricanes and the wildfires that are consuming the U.S. West.” [emphasis original] So even in the face of all this murder, property damage, assaults, looting, and burning, the clown show at Axios proudly marches onward. “Mostly peaceful.” Man alive. Another thing to keep in mind is that these estimates are based only on insurance claims, so near the bottom of the piece, we’re told: ...

John Lott: Joe Biden Gun Proposals Will Harm Blacks, Hispanics
Appearing on Steve Malzberg’s weekly Sunday commentary show “Eat the Press” Dr. John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center and author of Gun Control Myths , blasted President Joe Biden’s recent gun control proposals, claiming they were based on “lies” and will endanger “blacks and hispanics” living in high crime urban areas. After Malzberg called out Biden for denying he intends to limit the Second Amendment while saying “in the next breath” that “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute,” Lott replied that, “In ten minutes or so [Biden] literally made about at least two dozen different lies on [the subject],” with some of the claims being “so outrageous.” “It’s just like one false claim after another,” he added. One example Lott cited was Biden’s claim that the “alleged” reason for the substantial increase in homicides last year was due to a “lack of gun control.” “You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to realize that when you have inmates being released from jails and prisons, and some in a number of places more than fifty percent of the inmates being released; when you have police being ordered to stand down and not do their jobs; when you have police budgets being cut and prosecutors in major urban areas refusing to prosecute violent criminals; if you make it so that criminals aren’t being caught, and when they are caught — not being punished, and it’s not risky for them to commit crime, guess what? They’re going to commit more crime.” Lot added the “irony” of the situation is Biden is “claiming that he cares about poor blacks and hispanics that live in these high crime urban areas,” yet “the proposals that he wants are actually going to harm them.” “It’s going to make it so those are the very people who aren’t going to be able to afford the fees and other costs that he’s imposing on law-abiding gun owners,” Lott elaborated. Noting the left simultaneously seeks to prevent effective policing, ...
Broward Students, Parents Allege Superintendent, School Board Misconduct Undermined Student Safety
Research into discrepancies in the use of school safety funding as well as the district’s plan to reduce arrests and expulsions for minority students has led parents and survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas (MSD) High School shooting to allege the school district superintendent and school board engaged in misconduct that undermined student safety at the school. Kenneth Preston, a 19-year-old student of the school district, spoke at the Broward County School Board Operational meeting Tuesday evening. His plan was to address his research into the district’s school safety funding and its programs – known as PROMISE and the Behavior Intervention Program – that has led him and a group of parents and student survivors of the shooting to call for an independent investigation into the actions of Broward County Superintendent Robert Runcie and the Broward County school board. Though Preston originally planned to deliver the results of his research at the school board meeting, he instead explained how some members of the board and Runcie “have tried every means possible to subvert our message.” Preston said: For weeks, we have had additional speakers scheduled. Just an hour ago, I received word that over seven additional speakers would be cut, and that my time would be cut in half from the original six minutes … A board and superintendent who insists on the commitment to transparency have decided to deny the voices of survivors and families of victims who intended to speak tonight. That is no surprise after the fiasco I was involved in yesterday, though. Yesterday it was requested that I meet with the superintendent and families of victims to discuss my report. I was denied the right to have an attorney present. I was refused the opportunity to record the meeting, and I was told this was because the superintendent wouldn’t have any representation of his own. When I arrived at the meeting was stacked with ten district officials in addition to the ...
Xi Jinping Still Absent from Coronavirus Vaccine Drive as China Lags Behind World
Chinese dictator Xi Jinping has yet to inform the public if he has been inoculated against the Chinese coronavirus or if he plans to, and at press time has not participated in any public efforts to promote his government’s vaccination drive. Xi’s absence is particularly striking given that he is actively using his high profile for other efforts, such as promoting China’s Belt and Road Initiative and participating in President Joe Biden’s international summit on climate change scheduled for Thursday. Xi mentioned the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which began in China, during remarks to the Boao economic forum this week, urging countries to “strengthen global governance” to end the crisis. Elsewhere around the world, in nations with higher vaccination rates, heads of state and government have taken to publicizing their vaccines. Leaders like Biden, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Chilean President Sebastián Piñera, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received their vaccinations in front of television cameras or published photographs of the event. More discreet leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin did not offer any proof of their vaccination but issued statements claiming to be vaccinated through their spokespeople. The Chinese communist regime has offered no information at all regarding Xi’s inoculation status or intentions regarding vaccination at press time. At age 67, Xi is in an age range that is at high risk for severe coronavirus complications. The Chinese Foreign Ministry fielded a question regarding Xi’s vaccination status in March, resulting in a spokeswoman answering, “I have no answer at this moment. Vaccine is our silver bullet for epidemic prevention and for our ultimate victory against the virus.” Beijing has offered no further clarification since. Xi aroused suspicions that he may have been vaccinated that month at the annual convening of the National People’s Congress (NPC), ...
