After canceling its Wednesday meeting , the Manhattan grand jury is convening again Thursday — but, according to the Associated Press, the panel reportedly will not be discussing the Trump case. This likely means a potential indictment of the former president wouldn’t occur until next week, at a minimum. It’s not clear why the delay has taken place, though there’s reports that the jury could potentially hear from an additional witness. CNN , citing sources, reports that the Manhattan district attorney’s office is determining whether to bring back Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen for more testimony or another witness entirely before the panel votes on an indictment. Former Green Bay Packers star QB Brett Favre has maintained that he did not know that money he was involved with diverting to sports programs was illegally transferred from a Mississippi welfare fund. Still, a new filing claims Favre knew the transfers were illegal. Favre has been accused of conspiring with former head of Mississippi Department of Human Services chief John Davis who has been accused of transferring $5 million out of the state’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program to fund Favre’s sports gifts to the University of Southern Mississippi. According to federal rules, TANF funds are not supposed to be used for any construction project. But, text messages between Favre and Mississippi Gov. The Canadian federal government under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is still using the Chinese-owned app Tik Tok for advertising despite banning it on all government employee devices. The Canadian government banned employees from using the controversial social media app last month amid what it termed an “unacceptable level of risk to privacy and security,” but reports note that the government continues to engage with Tik Tok for advertising.
