Eli Rosenberg, The Washington Post Published 4:18 pm CDT, Friday, October 12, 2018 A woman who was White House adviser Stephen Miller's third-grade teacher has been placed on paid leave after she shared recollections of him as a young pupil with a reporter this week. Gail Pinsker, a spokeswoman for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, said that school officials were reviewing concerns about whether Nikki Fiske had improperly released private student information. Fiske, who has taught Franklin Elementary School in Santa Monica for 30 years, painted an unflattering portrait of Miller as an third-grader in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. She said that Miller was a messy kid who she was always trying to get to clean up his desk, "a strange dude" who would eat glue off of his arm. "I remember being concerned about him - not academically," she said. "But he had such strange personal habits. He was a loner and isolated and off by himself all the time." … [Read more...] about Stephen Miller used to eat glue, his third-grade teacher said. The school placed her on leave.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — A Southern California school district has suspended a teacher who recounted how a senior aide to President Trump ate glue as a third-grader. Nikki Fiske told the Hollywood Reporter that when Stephen Miller was a student in her classroom, he was a loner with a messy desk who ate glue. She calls Miller "a strange dude." "Do you remember that character in Peanuts, the one called Pig Pen, with the dust cloud and crumbs flying all around him? That was Stephen Miller at 8," Fiske told the publication. She said she wrote all of her concerns — "and I had a lot of them" — in his school record, but the principal later used white-out to erase them after meeting with Miller's parents. The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District placed Fiske on "home assignment" while it decides what to do, if anything, about the disclosures, the Los Angeles Times reports. The district said it's concerned about the public release of student information. "This has been … [Read more...] about Teacher suspended after saying “strange” Stephen Miller ate glue in 3rd grade

Nikki Fiske, a veteran teacher in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, has been placed on “home assignment” after penning an essay in which she described a young Miller as a “strange dude” and recounted a story of him eating glue as a student. “I remember he would take a bottle of glue—we didn't have glue sticks in those days—and he would pour the glue on his arm, let it dry, peel it off and then eat it,” Fiske wrote. The essay was published by The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday. The teacher wrote of how she was always “concerned” about Miller, who had “such strange personal habits. He was a loner and isolated and off by himself all the time.” Fiske went on to say that at the end of the year she wrote all of her concerns about Miller and had … [Read more...] about Third-Grade Teacher Who Claimed Trump Aide Stephen Miller Was a ‘Strange Dude’ Who Ate Glue Has Been Suspended
