July 2, 2022 by www.thedailybeast.com Leave a Comment

Newsmax’s top-rated host Greg Kelly warned Republican Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday night: Don’t take on Donald Trump for president come 2024. The declaration from the primetime star comes more than two years ahead of a 2024 general election and months ahead of the 2022 midterms, as behind the scenes, Republican Party lieutenants mull potential 2024 GOP presidential contenders. “Governor Ron DeSantis. He is amazing, so talented, so smart, unlimited political future. I want him to be president someday,” Kelly began his Friday evening show as a graphic appeared on screen stating, ‘Not Yet, Ron.’ “I think that’s almost guaranteed to happen, but I’d rather not see him run in 2024.” The message from Kelly comes while Trumpworld remains unsure of precisely when a Trump 2024 campaign announcement might come. The New York Times reported Friday that Trump could announce his candidacy “unusually early,” and the news may come not at a rally but on social media. After … [Read more...] about Newsmax Host Rips Into ‘Career Politician’ Ron DeSantis Over Potential 2024 Run Against Trump

Poll: 7 in 10 American Voters Do Not Want Joe Biden to Run for Reelection

July 2, 2022 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Seven in ten American voters say they do not want President Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024, a recent survey from Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll found . The poll, which was shared with the Hill , revealed that 71 percent of voters do not want the president to run for a second term, whereas 29 percent believe he should. The poll also found that only 30 percent of Democrats are willing to vote for the president in a Democrat presidential primary for 2024, according to Mark Penn, the co-director of the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey. Among the reasons why respondents think Biden should not run again include 45 percent saying that “he is a bad president,” about one-third saying that “he is too old,” and about one-quarter saying that “it is time for a change.” The survey also found that the president is suffering from low approval numbers, currently polling with an overall approval rating of 38 percent. Respondents also disapprove of the way the president is handling … [Read more...] about Poll: 7 in 10 American Voters Do Not Want Joe Biden to Run for Reelection

Virginia Democratic Del. Dawn Adams apologized to her constituents for co-sponsoring a bill that would legalize abortion up until birth, admitting that she did not read the bill before putting her name on it. “I did not read a bill I agreed to co-patron, and that wasn’t smart or typical,” Adams, who is a nurse practitioner, said. “I will work harder and be better for it.” “I am sorry that I did not exercise due diligence before this explosion of attention,” she continued. “Had I done so, I would not have co-patroned.” Adams said that while she is no longer co-sponsoring this particular bill, she is not compromising on her support of abortion. WASHINGTON (AP) — The marshal of the U.S. Supreme Court has asked Maryland and Virginia officials to step up the enforcement of laws she says prohibit picketing outside the homes of the justices who live in the two states. “For weeks on end, large groups of protesters chanting slogans, using bullhorns, and banging drums have picketed Justices’ homes,” Marshal Gail Curley wrote in the Friday letters to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and two local elected officials. READ MORE: Firefighters Battle Two-Alarm Fire Amid Thunderstorm In Baltimore's Riverside Neighborhood Curley wrote that Virginia and Maryland laws and a Montgomery County, Maryland, ordinance prohibit picketing at justices’ homes, and she asked the officials to direct police to enforce those provisions.
