BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore County Public Schools is looking to recruit new teachers, bus drivers, bus attendants, and school nurses, according to school staff. The school system has created a short list of recruitment events at various times and locations throughout the county area for the month of July. Gas Prices Continue To Fall In New Jersey, Pennsylvania And Delaware
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS/AP) — Gas prices continued to fall in New Jersey and around the nation amid lower crude oil prices and an increase in total domestic gasoline stocks. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $4.85, down nine cents from last week. Drivers were paying $3.14 a gallon on average a year ago at this time. Baltimore’s Light Rail Trains Waylaid By Fallen Tree On Tracks
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore’s Light Rail trains have been halted due to a tree that has fallen on both tracks north of the Cold Spring Lane Light Rail Station stop, according to the Maryland Transit Authority. The tree fell as a storm caused flooding and other damage across the city. MTA officials say that shuttle buses will be used to transport passengers while trains are unavailable in that area. It was attacking bodily organs, including the heart — even in healthy, young athletes. Enough athletes with COVID were experiencing heart inflammation, called myocarditis, that doctors at the University of Maryland and other Big Ten schools didn’t want to take any chances. Myocarditis already was seen as one of the leading causes of sudden death in elite athletes, so doctors across the conference immediately imposed official protocols that kept some players off the fields for up to six months.
