The San Francisco Bay Area is expected to see the highest temperatures of the week on Thursday, and some locations in the North Bay are forecast to approach a balmy 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The warmup isn't forecast to last long, with cooler temperatures and a slight chance for rain expected over the weekend, and downtown San Francisco is forecast to dip below 40 degrees for the first time this year early next week. Amid a spell of dry weather and an overnight offshore wind event, the Bay Area is expected to warm up on Thursday morning. The weather service forecasts widespread 60s across the Bay Area with the mercury likely to soar above 70 degrees in some spots around the North Bay, especially in the Santa Rosa area and northward along the U.S. Highway 101 corridor, on Thursday afternoon. "These winds are technically Diablo winds," Dalton Behringer, a meteorologist with the weather service, told SFGATE. 0 Real Estate Here is how much home prices have changed over the past year in Dallas County area. Local Data , Patch Staff Posted Reply IRVING, TX — Higher home prices are here to stay, at least for the next couple of years, experts say. The coronavirus pandemic helped push home prices higher, but it isn’t the only factor responsible for the market shift. The number of homes listed for sale is at a historic low, meaning that supply is tight. Meanwhile, demand has increased because of historically low mortgage interest rates and because a large contingent of millennials is looking to buy their first homes. Home prices in the Dallas-Plano-Irving TX Metropolitan Division, which includes Dallas County, were up 7.8 percent for January 2021 compared with January 2020, according to the CoreLogic Case-Shiller Index, an oft-quoted measure of price movements over time.
