Maggie Fusek , Patch Staff Posted | Updated Reply WALNUT CREEK, CA — Nearly 9,000 customers were without power Tuesday evening in Walnut Creek because of weather-related outages, according to PG&E. As of 5 p.m., there were 2,175 impacted customers in the Old Oak Park and Tice Valley areas and 400 impacted customers in downtown Walnut Creek, the PG&E outage webpage showed. Another 1,921 customers were without power in the Heather Farm Park area and 335 customers were impacted in the Rancho San Miguel area. An outage impacting 4,439 started at 4:39 p.m. in the Lower Lakewood area. The outages come amid winds that have reached or exceeded 50 mph in much of the region.
