close Video Washington Post claims North Korea working on new missiles Satellite photos reportedly show that North Korea continues work on developing intercontinental missile technology. North Korea is possibly constructing new intercontinental ballistic missiles and moving on with “business as usual” for its missile program, an official told Fox News despite Kim Jong Un's claim to halt its weapon production and President Trump’s reassurance that the Hermit Kingdom is “no longer a nuclear threat.” “It’s business as usual,” a U.S. official with knowledge of the latest intelligence assessment on North Korea told Fox News on Tuesday. Once every four years, just as the Winter Olympics are held, the FIFA World Cup occurs. For some countries, the World Cup is an even larger event than the Olympics. This year the World Cup is being hosted by Russia. The semifinals took place July 10, between France and Belgium, and July 11, between England and Croatia, with each winner moving on to play in the finals July 15. Since the Round of 16 began June 30, there have been four games up until the semifinals that have ended in draws after regulation time, forcing penalty kicks to decide the winner. Croatia has been a part of two of these four. The first occurred July 1 against Denmark. It was an incredible matchup with a win securing a spot in the quarterfinals. Denmark attacked first right as play began in the first minute to score, 1-0. This was an opening that shocked everyone, even the announcers, and brought the crowd to a roar. Croatia then gained possession, and after a missed pass across the field that bounced off two … [Read more...] about France and Croatia move on to World Cup finals
Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty The completion of any relationship leaves behind an uncomfortable gaping space that echoes against its own empty caverns until it’s filled again. Our significant others become our routine–our days, our hours, our lunches, our mornings, and one day, after many bad days, that partner becomes a habit we must force ourselves to break. The familiarity of this painful cycle was perfectly captured in the season 2 finale of HBO’s hit show ‘Insecure.’ We were willing companions on the Issa & Lawrence relationship ride and then, abruptly, the gears of the rollercoaster track stopped mid-way uphill. Apologies and fantasy sequences wrapped up their fictional romance with a bow, yet somehow, we want more from their union. Show creator Issa Rae’s decision to not bring Lawrence along for season 3 is a profound and necessary character development choice. Issa literally set her past on fire (RIP to that apartment) and is actively … [Read more...] about Issa Rae’s ‘Insecure’ Character Is Moving On From Lawrence, Why Can’t We?
opinion EJ Montini Arizona Republic Published 2:26 p.m. UTC Jul 30, 2018 Late last week news broke that a 6-year-old girl who was separated from her mother at the border had been sexually abused at a facility in the Valley. It’s been nearly two months since President Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy began separating children from their parents, and more than a month since national and international outrage over the policy led Trump to end it. And while many families have been reunited, hundreds of children remain apart from their parents. And some, like this little girl, may be dealing with the trauma of their experience for a lifetime. The notification of the sexual assault was first reported in The Nation. Abuse or 'inappropriate behavior?' It involved an older child acting out with a 6-year-old. Then, late Friday, a spokesman for the Southwest Key facility told The Arizona Republic that the incident had been mislabeled, claiming that … [Read more...] about Separated girl abused in shelter … while we moved on
