By Matt Kroschel GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Cellphone video captured a bighorn sheep smashing out a window at a famous hotel. READ MORE: Mountain Lions Thwart Planned Relocation Of Bighorn Sheep It happened at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs, when a bighorn appears to catch a glimpse of and take offense to its own reflection, shattering the window. (credit: Christian Addie) The video, shot by Christian Addie, shows a few bighorns standing outside the hotel before the incident. “Saw him kind of eyeing his reflection, guarding his ewes because they are rutting right now,” said Addie. Most seem quite content to see the sights, maybe do a little shopping, until the one ram spots himself in the window and smashes it out with one go. “I kind of see him bumping up against the glass a little bit, we were thinking they’re going to break it,” said Addie. The window, though, is a total loss. (credit: CBS) Bighorn sheep live across Colorado but typically stay in the bluffs overlooking Glenwood Springs. It’s unusual for the animals to come into a populated area of town. “He looked like he was alright when he took off running, so… maybe just a bruised ego,” said Addie. Addie was surprised by all the attention his video is receiving, “It went viral and I wasn’t expecting that. It started with just a few folks at work wanting to see it and my co-workers were like, ‘Send it to me, send it to me.'” MORE NEWS: Explosion & Fire At Elkins Distilling In Estes Park Hospitalizes 2 People Matt Kroschel covers news throughout Colorado working from the CBS4 Mountain Newsroom. WATCH: Shots Fired After Car Forced Off Road in Massachusetts
Police in Canton, Massachusetts, are searching for individuals allegedly involved in a car crash and shooting that happened Sunday on Route 138. Reporter Jason Law shared video footage Wednesday of a blue car closely following a grey car. Moments later, the grey vehicle spins out in the road and the blue car veers off to the left: ***WARNING expletive and gun violence*** A witness recorded this car crash and shooting in Canton Sunday afternoon. Tonight at 4 and 6:30, @boston25 ’s @Bward3 spoke with Canton Police about the terrifying video and the search for suspects. pic.twitter.com/OCZNeHi8qq — Jason Law (@JasonLawNews) February 24, 2021 When the grey car stopped, a person wearing dark clothing exited the vehicle and appeared to open fire on the blue vehicle as it drove away. “My initial thought when I saw it honestly was I was disgusted,” Canton Police Chief Ken Berkowitz told CBS Boston, adding that one vehicle was found a short time after the incident, abandoned with multiple bullet holes visible. The second car was located the following morning and officials took evidence from both cars. However, they do not believe anyone was hurt during the altercation. The police chief said it appeared the individuals involved knew each other. “We don’t believe it was road rage,” he explained. “The parties knew each other and it was intended.” “But it’s equally as brazen and disturbing — yeah, they might have known each other and had a feud or whatever and everyone else around them doesn’t matter,” Berkowitz told WCVB. He also said it was amazing no bystanders were caught in the gunfire or the car crash. “138 is a busy road,” he continued, “your family, my family, anybody could’ve been walking.” The chief said it was only a matter of time before the people involved are found, and he urged them to turn themselves in to law enforcement. “We’re pretty sure we know who you are. Save us the mileage on the trip to come get you,” he ...
Watch David Pastrnak’s Goal Against The Carolina Hurricanes
Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak had an awesome goal Thursday night in a game four 4-0 elimination victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. Pastrnak redirected a pass from Brad Marchand into the back of the net in epic fashion. The goalie literally had no chance. It looked like Marchand was going to shoot his shot right up until the moment he fired off the pass for the goal. Watch the awesome video below. It really doesn’t get much sexier than that in the NHL when it comes to scoring goals. I don’t think your average person understands just how hard a play like that is to pull off. You’re talking about multiple pro hockey players moving at lightning speed and anticipating the shot or the pass. (RELATED: San Jose Sharks Beat The St. Louis Blues On Awful Hand Pass No-Call In Overtime) When Marchand set up Pastrnak with the assist, he didn’t even hesitate to put it in the back of the net. That takes some unreal timing. A golden statue of former President Trump Donald Trump Biden to hold virtual bilateral meeting with Mexican president More than 300 charged in connection to Capitol riot Trump Jr.: There are 'plenty' of GOP incumbents who should be challenged MORE was unveiled late Thursday at t he Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Fla., quickly prompting ridicule from social media users, many of whom compared it to the Old Testament account of the Golden Calf. Video showed the statue being rolled out through hallways at the annual right-wing conference. The structure includes a golden figure of Trump wearing a suit jacket and red tie, paired with American-flag shorts and flip flops. Several people stopped to pose with the statue, with one woman saying, “Awesome,” and another person commenting, “That is so cool.” Another person can then be heard in the video starting to chant, “four more years.” ADVERTISEMENT Despite the praise from attendees, social media users argued that the statue showed some conservatives’ unhealthy obsession with Trump, with one Twitter user jokingly writing, “ I asked CPAC if they were afraid of offending God with a golden Trump statue and they said ‘Trump is God.’” I asked CPAC if they were afraid of offending God with a golden Trump statue and they said "Trump is God." pic.twitter.com/tW0zFobjyh — Josh Jordan (@NumbersMuncher) February 26, 2021 Others, including University of Virginia Center for Politics founder and Director Larry Sabato, connected the statue to the book of Exodus. ADVERTISEMENT In the Old Testament story, the Golden Calf was worshipped by the Israelites in the absence of Moses as he went up to Mount Sinai. In the Bible, God punished those who worshipped the golden structure instead of him, destroying the calf and killing about 3,000 people. Ah, the Golden Calf. Cue Moses. https://t.co/uG2yPbMS14 — Larry Sabato (@LarrySabato) February ...
MMA Fighter Flips Off Opponent Before Knocking Him Out
One MMA fighter hit his opponent with the middle finger before knocking him out. In a video tweeted by @RTSportNews, an MMA fighter flipped off his opponent literally seconds before knocking him out with a kick. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) If you only watch one video today, I suggest you make it this one. ???? The ULTIMATE disrespect… before a huge KO! pic.twitter.com/V8dDYgnWwW — RT Sport (@RTSportNews) February 25, 2021 My friends, what are we all thinking about this knockout ? That’s about as cocky and crazy as it gets when it comes to knocking someone out. The amount of guts you have to have in order to hit somebody with the bird in an MMA fight is hard to put into words. This situation could have gone south on him so fast. Imagine how stupid you’d look if you flipped somebody off and then lost. That’d be a clown show on every single level. Luckily for this guy, he got the job done and put his opponent on the ground. Now, would I recommend trying this again now that people will be watching out for it? No. The odds this works twice are hovering somewhere around zero. However, at least he has one viral moment that won’t be going away in the near future. ...
