We’ve all been there. You’re running for federal office, the race is hot, the polls are tight, but you’re doing OK. Then, whammo: A porn star informs you that she’s about to tell the world you had an extramarital affair with her a few months after your wife gave birth to your youngest child . What do you do? You pay her off, of course. Well, let’s not be hasty. Maybe you should deny and ride it out—an especially appealing option if it was a lie or a dubious claim that the vast majority of people, including your wife, would not find credible. Joe Biden did this in 2020 and won. But you’re not Joe Biden. You’re a self-aggrandizing womanizer with a known history of extramarital affairs and allegations of sexual misconduct . Worse, one day before this porn star approached you, the world learned that—right around the time of this alleged affair—you’d also been caught on tape bragging that you’re so famous you can do “anything” you want to women, like, for … [Read more...] about How to Pay Off a Porn Star (If You Really Must)

Just Quarter of NATO Members Met Minimum Military Spend Levels in ’22
Only seven of the thirty members of the NATO military alliance met the 2 per cent of GDP military spending minimum of the alliance in 2022 according to official figures. NATO head Jens Stoltenberg commented on the annual report, calling for NATO members to increase their military spending to the agreed-upon targets as fewer countries met the pending goals in 2022 than in 2021. “…because GDP has increased more than expected for a couple of allies, two allies that we expected to be at 2% per cent are now slightly below 2 per cent,” Stoltenberg told a news conference in Brussels, the newspaper Ekathimerini reports . According to the annual report, only Greece, the United States, Poland, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania met the two per cent of GDP spending goal. Biden Administration Defends Diversity, Equity, Inclusion in the Military
Biden Pentagon officials in charge of military personnel policy defended pushing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the United States military during a House hearing on Thursday, arguing that it would make the military stronger, not more divided. However, they were short on data to back up their arguments. Gil Cisneros, the undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness, argued, “Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to unit cohesion and trust.” The Army’s Assistant Secretary for Manpower and Reserve Affairs Agnes Schaefer argued, “A diverse and talented force of trained and cohesive teams is the most important indicator of our readiness.” The Navy’s Assistant Secretary for Manpower and Reserve Affairs Franklin Parker argued that diversity would increase “our military readiness and maritime dominance by accessing the full range of our nation’s talent.” The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs Alex Wagner insisted, “Our … [Read more...] about Biden Administration Defends Diversity, Equity, Inclusion in the Military

79-Year-Old Vietnam War Vet to Graduate 62 Years After Leaving School
A 79-year-old Vietnam War veteran from Ohio is finally receiving his high school diploma decades after leaving school. WBNS reported Urvin Hartsock, 79, of Johnstown, Ohio, left high school in 1961 to take a job at a local steel plant where he worked for a year before being laid off. His next move was joining the U.S. Army. “At that time I was young,” Hartsock told the outlet. “[I] thought I was smarter than the teachers that was teaching me. When I got in the service I figured out I wasn’t as smart as I thought I was.” After serving three years in Korea during the Vietnam war, he came back to Ohio – now with a family of his own, per WBNS. By all indications, Hartsock was a staple of his community. The Columbus Dispatch reported Hartsock participated in his America Legion post’s “Pancake Day” in 2016 and told the outlet he had been responsible for mixing the batter before the post switched to an electric drill. “I burned up a hand-mixer last year,” … [Read more...] about 79-Year-Old Vietnam War Vet to Graduate 62 Years After Leaving School
Doocy Presses KJP On Chinese Energy Company Paying Biden Family Members
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy pressed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on members of President Joe Biden’s family receiving payments from a Chinese energy company. A memo released by the House Oversight Committee disclosed that Biden family members received over $1.3 million in payments from Rob Walker, a family business associate, after he had been paid $3 million by a Chinese energy company. “House Oversight says they’ve got bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members through a third party, what were they paid for?” Doocy asked. “Look, I’m just not gonna respond to that from here,” Jean-Pierre said. “We have heard from House Republicans for years and years and years how the inaccuracies and lies when it comes to this issue and I don’t know where to even begin to answer that question because again, it’s been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple years and I’m just not gonna get into it.” … [Read more...] about Doocy Presses KJP On Chinese Energy Company Paying Biden Family Members
