2:27 p.m. Evacuation area expands around Dolan Fire south of Big Sur: Roadblocks were erected on Highway 1 between Lucia and Breaker Point on Wednesday and officials were turning away cars from that 25-mile stretch as the Dolan Fire continued to overtake large swaths of Monterey County. Residents in several areas, including east of King City, were told to prepare to evacuate Wednesday afternoon as the fire surged to 93,554 acres, overtaking much of the Ventana Wilderness Area in the Los Padres National Forest.
