The gunman who murdered 19 children and two teachers in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday morning looked one of the teachers in the eye and said “Goodnight” before pulling the trigger, according to a new report. It’s the latest chilling detail to emerge from the Robb Elementary School massacre , the worst school shooting in the U.S. in a decade. The blood-curdling quote comes from an account of the attack from schoolgirl Miah Cerillo, 11, who suffered bullet fragment injuries to her back and shoulders, but managed to survive the attack. Miah was in a fourth-grade classroom with teachers Irma Garcia and Eva Mireles watching Lilo & Stitch as an end of school year treat when the gunman arrived at the door. Police waited 45 minutes in school before pursuing shooter

At least some of the 911 calls made during the Tuesday attack on Robb Elementary School in Uvalde came from inside the connected classrooms where 18-year-old Salvador Ramos was holed up, Steven McCraw, the head of the Texas Department of Public Safety, said during a contentious news conference. High Levels Of COVID-19 Community Transmission Detected In Baltimore Area
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Community transmission levels of COVID-19 in Baltimore have shifted from medium to high over the past two weeks, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The change happened Thursday evening with CDC data now indicating that there are 283 cases per 100,000 people, the hospitalizations per case rate rose to 11.8 admissions for every 100,000 cases, the Baltimore City Health Department said. RIVERBANK (CBS13) – A man has died after a shooting in the Riverbank Applebee’s parking lot Thursday night. The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office says, a little before 10 p.m., they got a report about a shooting at the Crossroads Shopping Center parking lot – which was full with people who were having celebrations after high school graduation ceremonies.
