The New York Times reports that the jury heard from David Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer , who played a significant role in the hush money deal with Stormy Daniels. Pecker previously testified in January. After canceling its Wednesday meeting last week, the grand jury convened again Thursday but, according to the Associated Press, did not discuss the Trump case. An indictment of the former president could happen this week, but recent events have shown that the process is following its own timetable. CNN reported Thursday that the Manhattan district attorney’s office is determining whether to bring back Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, for more testimony or another witness entirely before the panel votes on an indictment.
