PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Julie Ertz was named the U.S. Soccer women’s Player of the Year on Friday for the second time. Ertz, a versatile midfielder who also won the award in 2017, was on the U.S. teams that won World Cup championships in 2015 and again this summer in France. Ertz, who played a more defensive role in 2015, scored her first World Cup goal this summer during a group-stage victory over Chile. DOYLESTOWN, PA – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. This July 4 in Doylestown, there will be the annual Old-Fashioned Fourth of July festival at Fonthill Castle. Festivities include a decorated bike parade, watermelon-eating contests, wheelbarrow and sack races, tug-of-war and live music. Food vendors will be selling refreshments.The celebration goes from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $5 Adults /$3 Member Adults; $1 Youth (6-17). The celebration is free for children 5 and under. FTC said to consider injunction against Facebook
The Federal Trade Commission is considering seeking a preliminary injunction against Facebook to prevent the social network from integrating several of its messaging services, according to three people with knowledge of the matter. The agency has discussed how the Menlo Park company is stitching together the technical infrastructure underlying WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the talks are confidential. The FTC is weighing whether such an integration would make it harder to potentially break up Facebook, they said, especially if the agency determines that the company’s acquisitions of some of those apps reduced competition in social networking. The agency has not decided what to do, the people said. The FTC and Facebook declined to comment. The potential injunction was reported earlier by the Wall Street Journal.
