The 45-year-old daughter of a renowned Australian horse breeder has been accused of having sex with a 14-year-old boy multiple times in one day. Police charged heiress Savannah Daisley with four aggravated sexual intercourse counts , accusing her of having sex with the teenage boy four times in North Shore during a 24-hour period in May 2021, the NZ Herald reported Thursday. Daisley, founder of detox business Smart Cleanse, appeared Tuesday in Waverley Court over the charges, according to the outlet. She allegedly said she kissed the boy in a phone call tapped by the police, according to the NZ Herald. Illegal Boat Migrant Crossings Hit Highest Monthly Total for the Year
Illegal migrant crossings of the English Channel have hit their highest monthly total for the year as people-smuggling efforts ramped up during the warmer weather. A total of 3,136 illegal migrants in 76 boats landed on British shores in the month of June, the highest total for a month so far this year, according to analysis from the PA News Agency as reported by ITV News. June’s crossings take the known total for the year to 12,690, more than five times the number that had crossed at this point of the year in 2020 (2,493) and over double that recorded in the first six months of last year (5,917). Crossings of the English Channel from France typically ramp up during the late summer and autumn amid calmer conditions on the busy waterway, with the highest monthly total being recorded in November of last year when 6,971 migrants were brought ashore. Rices Fire In Nevada County Now 26% Contained
NEVADA COUNTY (CBS13) — The latest on the Rices Fire in Nevada County: Containment grew to 26% overnight Friday, but firefighters are keeping a watchful eye on increased winds that could fan the flames across the river and into Yuba County, as well as threaten to spread the fire to the north into the community of San Juan. The fire remains at 904 acres, according to Cal Fire’s latest report Saturday morning. A total of 13 structures have been destroyed, which includes five residences. Full containment is still expected by Tuesday. Previous day’s (July 1) updates below: 7:40 a.m. Firefighters are optimistic that favorable weather will continue to help in their battle against the Rices Fire.
