Elohim: I am always creating and those creations always somehow make it onto what I am creating in some way or another, so dare I say my whole life? DW: What is your favorite song on your debut album and why? E: “Insecure.” There is a special emotion within the song that is heart-wrenchingly inspiring. I had a feeling it would be a favorite for a few, and the night my record came out, most of the cuties online gravitated towards that song, sending pictures of themselves crying while listening to it — pretty remarkable to be able to share this part of me with my friends. Editorial: The Hickenlooper ethics complaint isn’t really about ethics
Almost exactly a year ago, we wrote that the two men who filed an error-filled ethics complaint against former Gov. John Hickenlooper deserved rebuke for filing an official document with huge factual errors — and while that’s still true, there’s more to the story. Some of the less sensational accusations from former Speaker of the Colorado House Frank McNulty and state Sen. John Cooke were true or partially true and do raise important questions about how the state’s ban on elected officials accepting gifts should be interpreted and enforced. The results should prove instructive to Gov. Jared Polis going forward. On Thursday, the Colorado Independent Ethics Commission finally released a “Report of Investigation” into the complaints and the board will hold hearings to determine whether Hickenlooper violated the state’s gift ban and disclosure rules. The items the PSPCA is looking for includes unopened dog and cat food or treats, new toys, paper towels, blankets, and money gifts. Aviation Gin Helps Peloton Wife Wash Away Controversy In New Ad
PORTLAND, OR — Peloton stock dropped dramatically after an ad for its high-end exercise bikes became a lightning rod for controversy. The woman who stars in the ad, Monica Ruiz, has seen her stock head in the opposite direction.Ruiz became known throughout the internet as "Peloton Woman" and "Peloton Wife" – her relationship is never defined in the ad – after starring in a commercial in which she's given a Peloton bike by her husband, boyfriend, he's also not defined.During the 30-second spot, the already thin actress is seen using the bike in a variety of shots. The looks on her face, which could be read as determination, got interpreted as looks of desperation, if not something worse.People slammed the ad, titled "The Gift That Keeps Giving," as sexist and patriarchal.
