Mota received 888 votes from all nine precincts combined. Michael C. Palmer will remain in his position as town clerk for another three years after he came in with a total of 3,540 votes. Jimmy Bentley , Patch Staff Posted Replies FALMOUTH, MA — Restaurants in Falmouth opening as part of phase two of the state's coronavirus reopening plan will get some help from the town with providing more seating. The Select Board voted Monday to close a section of Main Street to allow restaurants to expand their outdoor seating. This will give restaurants the ability to serve more people while complying with social distancing, Select Board member Doug Jones said. He said some restaurants such as Aeejo Mexican Bistro and Osteria La Civtetta already have extensive outdoor seating but others don't and need the town's help to stay in business. The Falmouth Select Board is expected to hear a proposal for the 50-seat fast food restaurant at its meeting on Aug. 24. The Falmouth Enterprise reported the developer Fashion Foods LLC has an agreement with property owner Sharon Muller to develop the lot into a Wendy's restaurant. Fashion Foods LLC is owned by Ernest and Terry Smily, of Centerville and Sharon, and Usama El Sehrawey, of Dennis. The group owns Wendy's franchises in Hyannis, Orleans, Yarmouth and Plymouth.
