The attacks on front-runner Joe Biden were unrelenting and, at times, personal in a contentious Democratic debate Wednesday night during which the former vice president delivered pointed retorts as he sought to convince voters that he is not an Obama-era relic, but the politician to revive the party. The leading rivals sharing the stage with the more moderate Biden on Wednesday — California Sen. Kamala Harris and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker — tangled with him on issues not just of policy, but of identity politics, as the two black lawmakers compete with him for African American voters, whose support is crucial to winning the nomination.“There are people right now in prison for life for drug offenses because you stood up and used that tough-on-crime rhetoric that got a lot of people elected but destroyed communities like mine,” Booker said to Biden when the debate turned to mass incarceration.“Mr. Vice President has said that, since the 1970s, every major … [Read more...] about Joe Biden takes fire from all sides in Democratic debate

I Should Be Applauded For How Much Grace And Class I Showed When Wisconsin Lost To Ohio State
People should be applauding me for my reaction to Ohio State beating Wisconsin in the Big 10 title game. RAPID REACTION: Ohio State beats Wisconsin for the Big 10 title. I’m heartbroken, and the refs absolutely screwed the Badgers. The officials should be investigated by the FBI! pic.twitter.com/rz8vkM2kIT — David Hookstead (@dhookstead) December 8, 2019 While most fans would have just packed it in, I chose to speak the honest truth. I chose to rip the officiating for what it was. It was disastrous. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) By not inciting a riot, I showed a level of grace and class I honestly didn’t even know I was capable of. Rioting would have been more than justified. Yet, instead of thanking me for simply deferring to the FBI, fans ripped me.
