(CBS DETROIT) — The Detroit Police Department is searching for a suspect who shot a 51-year-old man on June 26. Police say at about 1:25 a.m., the suspect was riding a bike in the area of Kendall and 14th streets when they fired shots, hitting the victim, before fleeing the scene. (CBS DETROIT) — The deadly holiday violence began with a man just trying to do his job. A Door Dash driver was caught in a crossfire Saturday night on Bagley Street in Detroit. Detroit Police Officer, Suspect Killed In Shooting On City’s West Side
(CBS DETROIT) — A Detroit police officer and a suspect have died Wednesday night after a shooting on the city’s west side, authorities say. The shooting happened sometime after near Joy Road and Marlowe Street. The officer was shot shortly after arriving on the scene. He was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries. Bodies Recovered Of 3 Adults Who Jumped In To Rescue Child Who Fell Into Sacramento River Near Rio Vista
RIO VISTA (CBS13) – The bodies of three people who had jumped into the water near Three-Mile Slough Bridge to try and save a child who had fallen into the water have now been recovered. Rio Vista Fire Department officials say the three adults jumped into the water on Sunday. Rio Vista Fire crews along with units from California State Parks and the US Coast Guard searched the area for hours but came up empty. Search crews went back out on the water over the next two days as the incident shifted into a recovery mission, officials say. Amador County Father Details Moments Family Was Forced To Flee River As Electra Fire Sparked
AMADOR COUNTY (CBS13) — The Electra Fire began on Monday while some families were celebrating the Fourth of July along the river in Amador County. “I had just actually cast out my fishing line and I had gotten my kids set up on the beach,” John Sullivan said. It was on the side of the hill,” he said. Sullivan grabbed his wife, their eight-year-old daughter and five-month-old son and ran until an Amador County sheriff’s deputy stopped their family and nearly 100 other people trying to escape what is now the Electra Fire. “[He said], ‘You can’t go this way, it’s not safe, I need everyone to turn around,’ ” Sullivan said.
