A group of Republican senators is asking Amazon.com Inc. to explain why it recently removed a book about transgender issues that had been on sale on the platform for about three years. In a letter to Amazon Chief Executive Jeff Bezos dated Wednesday, Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Mike Lee of Utah, Mike Braun of Indiana and Josh Hawley of Missouri said a book by conservative scholar Ryan T. Anderson, "When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment," was no longer available on Amazon or on its Kindle and Audible platforms. Amazon, they wrote, has been "unable to provide a sufficient explanation" as to how the book "supposedly violated a vague, undefined ‘offensive content’ standard." An Amazon spokeswoman didn’t have a comment regarding the letter. In a statement earlier Wednesday, the company said it reserved the right not to sell certain content based on its content guidelines for books. AMAZON ACCUSED OF 'ABSURD AND UNACCPETABLE' CENSORSHIP AFTER BOOK QUESTIONING TRANSGENDER MOVEMENT VANISHES "All retailers make decisions about what selection they choose to offer and we do not take selection decisions lightly," the statement said. In their letter, the senators wrote that Amazon’s move "openly signaled to conservative Americans that their views are not welcome on its platforms." They requested the company provide documentation explaining its decision, including whether the book violated an Amazon policy. A spokesman for Encounter Books, a nonprofit based in New York City which publishes "When Harry Became Sally," said Wednesday that it had been informed by its distributor that the book was removed for violating Amazon’s content guidelines. Under the category "Offensive Content," Amazon’s content guidelines include a sentence that reads: "We ...

REPORT: Isaiah Wilson Is Upset With The Titans Because The Team Didn’t Wish Him A Happy Birthday
Isaiah Wilson’s anger with the Tennessee Titans reportedly stems from the dumbest reason imaginable. The former first round pick recently tweeted and deleted that he’s “ done ” playing football for the Titans, and it looks like a divorce is inevitable. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) #Titans 2020 first-round OT Isaiah Wilson tweets that he’s done with football as a Titan. He only played in four snaps last season and was involved in a number of off the field incidents. pic.twitter.com/N2cv7WyARq — NFL Update (@MySportsUpdate) February 23, 2021 What’s causing Wilson’s bitterness towards the Titans? Well, there are probably a lot of reasons, but one of the reasons for him becoming “sour” is because the team didn’t wish him a happy birthday on social media, according to AtoZSportsNashville.com . Imagine being an NFL player with millions in guaranteed money coming your way and getting pissy because you didn’t get wished a happy birthday. I’d say Wilson needs to grow the hell up, but that’s obvious to anyone following the situation. Wilson has also been a distraction ever since the Titans took him in the first round in 2020. He’s been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and has violated COVID rules. The guy has the world at his fingertips and he just can’t seem to remain focused on what will make him very rich. I have no if the Titans will dump him or not, but it certainly appears to be trending that way. Getting upset about the lack of birthday recognition is just the latest sign that this relationship probably won’t last. H/T: BroBible ...
Isaiah Wilson Arrested For Allegedly Driving While Intoxicated
Tennessee Titans rookie Isaiah Wilson was arrested Friday night. According to Atozsportsnashville.com , Wilson was arrested on a DUI charge Friday night after allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) He reportedly blew a 0.107 and 0.113. Obviously, Wilson has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court by a jury of his peers. That’s our system in America, and be thankful that’s the way it is. Having said that, there’s no excuse for anyone to ever drive drunk. Look, I love drinking as much as the next guy. I’m nursing a hangover right now as we speak. You know what I’m not going to do? Hop behind the wheel of a vehicle. There’s never an excuse to ever drive while intoxicated. There’s not. Get an Uber, get a taxi or call a friend. It’s not that hard to figure out. We’ll see what happens with the Titans first round pick, but if he’s guilty, then he needs to be much smarter. It’s that simple. ...
