Miranda Ceja , Patch Staff Posted Reply HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — We hate to put a damper on your weekend, Huntington Beach, but authorities placed a mandatory no-burn order Saturday in Orange County. The order, placed by the South Coast Air Quality Management District, prohibits indoor and outdoor wood burning due to a forecast of high pollution in the area. The residential wood-burning ban was extended for an eighth consecutive day, and now will be in effect at least through 11:59 p.m. Saturday for all those in the South Coast Air Basin, which includes the non-desert portions of Los Angeles, Riverside and all of Orange County. 0 Weather Though forecasts predict sunnier days to come, a rain advisory remains in place, the Orange County Health Care Agency says. Miranda Ceja , Patch Staff Posted Reply HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — The cold storm across southern California has subsided in Orange County for now, the National Weather Service reported Friday. Despite clearer skies forecasted for this weekend, a weekend rain advisory remains in place for all Orange County beaches, harbors and bay waters, the OC Health Care Agency reported Thursday. The rain advisory was issued due to the higher levels of bacteria present in ocean and bay waters near storm drains, creeks and rivers during rainstorms. According to the OC Health Care Agency, the rising levels of bacteria can continue for a period of at least three days, depending on the intensity of the rain.
