Germany, seen early in Russia's invasion as a lackadaisical Ukrainian ally, is making what Chancellor Olaf Scholz described as a “massive” break with its past by sending weapons to the war-ravaged country. Scholz said Germany "is shipping arms — a great, great many, sweeping and very effective. And we will continue to do so in the coming time.” His government has approved military exports of at least $710 million and plans to provide further financial aid to Ukraine, the chancellor said. Serena Williams on Retiring: I Wouldn’t Have to ‘If I Were a Guy’
Serena Williams lamented that she would not be retiring from tennis to give more time to building a family if she “were a guy.” In a Vogue article transcribed by Rob Haskell, Williams, who will soon be turning 41, announced her retirement will come after the U.S. Open in late August. First, we had newbie Diana Jenkins insulting Black content creators and lecturing Haitian-American castmate Garcelle Beauvais on how much she allegedly helped the country of Haiti on Instagram. Lisa Rinna created her own mess when she piped in to defend Jenkins and every white housewife being accused of racism on the show (while also throwing jabs at Real Housewives of Dubai ’s multiracial cast). Sutton Stracke has been accused by a former friend of her daughter for making racist remarks. And Erika Jayne notoriously cussed out Beauvais’ Black teenage son earlier this season—which several white cast members found very amusing. Now, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan-favorite Kathy Hilton is coming under fire after … [Read more...] about Kathy Hilton’s Shocking Lizzo Gaffe Is No Laughing Matter
