The difference after the break for the Scouts was a simple change of focus. "We didn't really make a whole lot of adjustments," Weiser coach Alan Moyer said. "We tried to come out and play in the second half like we know how to play football, tough up front and win the line of scrimmage." The Boone County Democratic Central Committee voted Thursday to endorse the Clean Missouri, Raise Up Missouri and New Approach Missouri initiatives on the November ballot.The Missouri Democratic Party had already endorsed Clean Missouri and Raise Up Missouri. In a news release, Central Committee Vice Chairman Blake Willoughby said it's important to inform voters that they can fully support legislative reform and higher wages in Boone County.Clean Missouri would establish limits on campaign donations and lobbyist gifts to legislators, extend the time legislators must wait to become lobbyists after leaving public office, establish a drastically new system for drawing legislative boundaries and make legislative records and proceedings public."I for one can't wait to vote yes on Clean Missouri to help create a fairer political environment in regard to donations and the establishment of new political district lines," Willoughby said. Chris Mayhew Cincinnati Enquirer Published 12:28 PM EDT Sep 14, 2018 UNION – Land for a not-yet-built Drees subdivision off Frogtown Road behind St. Timothy Catholic Church has been annexed into city limits. The fast-growing Boone County city of Union annexed the 87-acre Traemore development, according to a city news release. A site plan submitted to Boone County's planning commission in February lists Traemore as having 172 lots to sell. Traemore will be built on the north side of Frogtown Road west of St. Timothy. The new subdivision will be across from the Drees existing Cool Springs development at Galileo Boulevard. Traemore will be similar to Drees' nearby Triple Crown subdivision developments of Jockey Club, Equestrian and Winners Circle. Matt Bevin, and is urging fellow Republican lawmakers to rebuke the party's leader for supporting an independent state House candidate. Bevin is appearing at a fundraiser this month for small-business owner Stacie Earl, who said she is the "true conservative" in a race against Republican C. Ed Massey. The two are among the five candidates running for the House 66th District seat, which covers northern Boone County. Massey told the Courier Journal this week that Bevin administration officials recruited Earl to enter the race, in part because he's been endorsed by the political arm of the Kentucky Education Association, the statewide union that has been at odds with Bevin over pension reform. Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner has manager Aaron Boone's back, even with the team's deep funk threatening their right to host the American League Wild Card Game, according to a report from the New York Post's George King.
