U.S. Donald Trump Joe Biden 2020 Election The Democratic field for the 2020 presidential election may be crowded, but, despite his low approval ratings, President Donald Trump appears to have the edge on almost all challengers in the crucial early 2020 voting state of Iowa. The one exception was former Vice President Joe Biden, who has yet to announce a decision on his intention to run. Asked who they would vote for if the election were to be held today, 51 percent of registered voters in Iowa, where delegates from each party gather to cast some of the first votes of the presidential primary cycle, indicated Biden, while 49 percent said Trump, according to an Emerson College poll released on Saturday. Trump would beat seven other Democrats the poll presented. Trump would beat independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who has not announced a bid but previously pursued the Democratic nomination, 51 percent to 50 percent. Trump would also triumph over three women … [Read more...] about Donald Trump Would Beat Every Democrat Except Joe Biden in Iowa, 2020 Election Poll Indicates

U.S. 2018 Midterms Donald Trump Now that the heated U.S. midterm elections have come to a close, the country will swiftly shift its focus to the 2020 election, as candidates begin to emerge to take on President Donald Trump. But the Democratic victory could, ironically, boost Trump’s chance of getting re-elected in 2020. Some oddsmakers say that after the midterms, the president’s chance of winning in two years has increased thanks to Republicans picking up more seats in the Senate. Only five presidents in the past 105 years have added Senate seats in off-year elections. Trump's odds to win a second term in 2020 shortened to 6/4 from 13/8 with Irish bookmaker Paddy Power. That equates an implied probability of 40 percent that Trump wins re-election. Las Vegas oddsmaker Bovada offered similar odds, with Representative Beto O'Rourke of Texas (10/1) and Senators Kamala Harris of California (10/1) and Bernie Sanders of Vermont (12/1), as well as former Vice President Joe … [Read more...] about 2020 Election Odds: Who Can Beat Donald Trump After 2018 Midterm Elections?

Two years ago at the Democratic Convention, I warned of those threats,” Bloomberg captioned an Instagram photo that showed him filling out a New York state voter registration … [Read more...] about Trump doesn’t think Democrats will back Bloomberg in 2020 election
POLITICS 09/22/2018 08:00 am ET The former vice president's biggest career misstep is now being replayed in advance of a potential presidential run. By Amanda Terkel In the past week, it’s been hard to flip on cable news without hearing the name Anita Hill. And that’s not good for Joe Biden, who’s thinking of running for president in 2020. “This is going to educate who is under the age of 35 and may not have grown up knowing Joe Biden’s role in all of this,” said a Democratic strategist who requested anonymity to speak candidly. It’s been 27 years since the law professor electrified the nation with her testimony about the sexual harassment she faced from Clarence Thomas, who was then up for confirmation to the Supreme Court. That hearing was widely considered a disaster, a textbook case of how not to treat a woman who comes forward. Republican senators went after Hill and tried to make her seem like a liar, a … [Read more...] about Reviving The Mishandling Of Anita Hill’s Testimony Is Bad News For Biden 2020
