House GOP accuses McConnell of selling it out with yearlong budget deal
close Video Mitch McConnell on track to become longest-serving leader in Senate history Senior congressional correspondent Chad Pergram on the outcome of Rick Scott challenging Mitch McConnell as the Republicans' Senate leader on 'Your World.' The two top congressional Republicans are bitterly split on a yearlong budget deal, with some allies of Kevin McCarthy even accusing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of selling them out. "Republican voters fought hard to win back control of the House to take away insane spending control from the Democrats," said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. "Mitch McConnell is on the verge of taking away House Republicans' power of the purse next year by … [Read more...] about House GOP accuses McConnell of selling it out with yearlong budget deal

It was presented by Barbra Streisand, who announced it with the words, “Well, the time has come.” Mark Boal, a producer of “The Hurt Locker,” said of his modest expectations when the movie was shot back in 2007, “Hopefully, we would find a distributor and somebody might even like the movie.” There was no mention of a last-minute embarrassment in which a fellow producer of the film, Nicolas Chartier, had been banned from the show for violating Oscar … [Read more...] about ‘The Hurt Locker’ Wins Big at Oscars
Sexist Fox News Guest Whines About Women, Gays Serving in Military
A novel Omicron strain of the coronavirus has started to tear through the United States, but on Friday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson and right-wing radio pundit Jesse Kelly focused on scoffing at women selflessly serving in the United States military. The segment lifted off with Carlson taking a swing at remarks made by Christopher Grady, who was confirmed on Friday by the U.S. Senate to the post of Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Fox News host played a clip from the hearing in which Grady expressed support for the idea of “understanding the ecosystem” pertaining to the role of the military’s “gender adviser.” Kelly, best known for making incendiary and sexist remarks on the network, then stepped up to the plate to go on ( yet again ) another sexist tirade. Carlson asked Kelly: “Do you think the key to remaining competitive with the Chinese military is more gender advisers?” “Oh, there’s no question, Tucker,” the C-list pundit snarked. “I … [Read more...] about Sexist Fox News Guest Whines About Women, Gays Serving in Military
