The Crime Scene Unit remained at the scene and had a corner taped off as it investigated what lead up to the killing of the victim, CBS2’s Ali Bauman reported. Dr. Mehmet Oz is recalling the "miracle" that occurred at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on Monday which resulted in him saving a man's life . The cardiothoracic surgeon and talk show host helped revive a 60-year-old man who had collapsed at the airport on Monday night. Speaking to "Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts, Dr. Oz detailed the grim situation when he turned around to find the man on the ground surrounded by blood. "I saw this gentleman had face planted basically with a pool of blood under his head where he smacked onto the ground. I ran over, I couldn't get a pulse, which is the first thing you check for. He wasn't responsive," Dr. Oz said. From there, the TV personality said he rolled the man onto his back and noticed he was "purple -- the color of an eggplant." He called this a "bad combination" and began doing CPR . DR. (Dr. Oz) "It's that soul-zapping moment where you realize you're losing a life so I started doing CPR which is my training," Oz continued, noting that nearby officers also "rushed" in to help. Oz explained the signifcance of doing chest compressions to viewers. "If the heart's not beating you've got to beat for it which is what the chest compressions do. 100 times a minute, push down at least two inches, simple message, everyone whose hearing my voice right now can learn how to do that today," he said. The man was also foaming at the mouth. Dr. Oz said he was able to "use a piece of plastic to push his tongue down and push air into his lungs." West Virginia Woman Convicted In Death Of 5-Year-Old Grandson
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — A jury deliberated for less than an hour on Thursday before convicting a West Virginia woman charged in the death of her 5-year-old grandson. Michelle Lynn Boggs, 49, of Lost Creek wept at the verdict finding her guilty of knowingly allowing death of a child by parent, guardian or custodian by child abuse, The Exponent Telegram reported. Her son-in-law, Peter James Wodzinski Jr., was convicted last month and her daughter, Chastity Wodzinski, who is married to Peter, remains jailed pending trial. Keaton was the nephew of the Wodzinskis. Police were called when the boy was taken to a hospital in Morgantown suffering from head trauma, numerous bruises and a laceration on his genital region. She cited text messages, statements and photos. “She knew what was happening and she allowed it by doing nothing to stop it,” Snuffer said. Boggs’ attorney, Dreama Sinkkanen, said her client wasn’t aware of the abuse. She said Keaton lived with the Wodzinskis, but she stayed mostly with friends. She didn’t bathe the boy and he wore long-sleeve shirts, pants and socks when they visited, Sinkkanen said. Nafiah Ikram is focused on recovering from severe burns but plagued by the unknown — who did this? “I was just living my life, I was minding my business, you know, so what could have provoked someone to do this to me? What could have gotten them so angry? I don’t know, but this is just inhumane,” she said. The 21-year-old Hofstra student was ambushed in her Elmont driveway in March as she walked into her home moments after her mother went inside. Someone ran toward her with a cup of acid, burning her face, her eye, her throat and her arms.
