The “Convergence” exhibit opened on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Canessa Gallery in San Francisco. The opening reception was followed two weeks later by an evening of engaging presentations by the student artists. Both events drew a full house of attendees, along with a visit from a local art critic, putting an appropriate capstone on an impressive academic career for Lohmann, who has taught at CSM for 26 years and will retire at the end of the spring semester. University representatives from approximately 15 campuses including UCs, CSUs, and private colleges and universities were present to engage with students and answer questions about transfer admission, campus resources, next steps for admitted students, and more! Several academic departments from CSU East Bay also attended including Business & Economics, Kinesiology, Psychology, and the College of Science. Texas names Rodney Terry as full-time coach after Elite Eight run
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texas on Monday named Rodney Terry as full-time head basketball coach, removing the interim tag after he led the Longhorns to the Elite Eight following the midseason firing of Chris Beard. The school tweeted the news of Terry's appointment and scheduled a Tuesday news conference to introduce him as head coach going forward. The announcement came barely 24 hours after the Longhorns' season ended when Texas was knocked out of the NCAA Tournament by Miami on Sunday.
