I bought it to try to do something it wasn’t designed to do (chop up soap). It didn’t do it. The item looked a bit cheap, but it worked just fine the one time I used it. For the price, it was worth trying.
I was only going to give this planer 4 stars, because the instructions that came with it were so minimum.
However for a novice like me, I was pretty impressed with how light it was and how much quieter it was then I thought it would be.I liked that it didn’t throw dust like a sander, rather shavings that I could reuse in my garden pots as mulch. Easy to handle and seems strong enough…never bogged or overheated. But as I said, the instructions needed a bit of help. I’ll have to go to instructibles.com or youtube to find out how to use it more effectively.
Overall and as a woman, I would say a great starter tool. I’m not sure how real craftsmen would rate it.
cant bet it for the price, dont buy a 100.00 planner. in this case cheap is better. i’m happy with it. works great.
