The concept was a good idea , the candy was all hard. The candy that was supposed to be chewy was hard as a rock. BIG WASTE of my money. I do not recommend this to anyone

My niece turned 50 and I bought her this gag gift for her birthday. She was ecstatic when she received it. It brought back alot of childhood memories for her. Her favorite was the waxed lips and candy cigarettes.
Oh, how everyone at the party just love this box of joy/memories. Everyone at the party was reminiscing about their childhood times eating the different candy in the box and always discovering other candies that they did not know about. Well worth it for my wife’s party.

I sent this as a "surprise" gift to a friend of mine. I thought it would be a fun way to remember her 50th birthday without the old lady jokes! I had filled out a gift card to be delivered with it which included a note and my name. The package arrived but my personal note didn’t. I waited a few days after delivery and then had to call to make sure she had received it. She was getting ready to call Amazon to find out who had sent it to her when I called. She loved the gift, but it would have been nice if the card would have gotten to her, too.
While some of these candies we not on the shelves in 1964, My wife remembered eating or seeing almost all of them when she was a kid. Made a great gift from her daugher (as she explained each one to her). One complaint, the cigarettes did not have the red tip that I remembered.

We had this item for a Beatles party this summer. It was a big hit and brought back a lot of great memories. However, I think a few of the candies actually came into being after 1964. Nonetheless, it was a hoot, the candy seemed fresh, and everyone enjoyed it.
The birthday girl absolutely loved it and it was quite a hit with all the party guests! We all dug through it stating which candy was their favorite.
I purchased this as a extra gift for my father-in-laws birthday. I turned out to be the hit of the party. I think he forgot about everything else while he pulled out piece after piece of candy – sharing memories associated to his early days. Well worth the price just to bring back the memories.

Got this for my dad for his 50th birthday, he loved it! He was getting so excited over candies he remembered from childhood. Although, there still isn’t enough candy for it to be worth $40 in my opinion, but it’s still good.

Got this as part of a theme 50th Birthday gift for my brother-in-law. It was a huge hit at the party – everyone thought it was very cool. They all looked through it to see what brands were in there – it was like many gifts inside of a larger gift. This is a unique gift idea, but not as cool as I expected. Some of the items are packaged the same as they would be present day and there isn’t really alot of candy in it.
