Willow Smith is planning to spend 24 hours in a box, all in the name of art.
The 19-year-old and Tyler Cole, who she has worked with on new album The Anxiety, are taking part in an immersive art exhibition, where they are hoping to raise awareness of anxiety and the struggles that come with it.
Willow, who says she has been battling anxiety since she was little, will spend 24 hours in a box and exhibition-goers will see her go through eight different emotional states – starting with being scared and finishing with feeling acceptance and joy.
24 hours. That's a long time.
Speaking to the LA Times , Willow said her exhibition was inspired by the death of Kobe Bryant.
The basketball legend died, aged 41, alongside his daughter Gianna, 13, in a helicopter crash in LA back in January.
She said: 'We're on this planet and anything could happen, like the things that just happened with Kobe? That was really a knife in the heart.
'Every moment is precious. And I think everyone has a fear of just not knowing what's going to happen in the future, not knowing if you're on the right path, not knowing if you're making the right choices.'
Willow continued: 'I see that anxiety around me is an epidemic and people don't talk about it.
'And so as long as it's bringing awareness and a positive light to the darkness, it doesn't matter if you don't enjoy it.'
The exhibition will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art's Geffen Contemporary in LA on Wednesday (11 March) evening.
Willow, who is often seen appearing on Red Table Talk with her mum Jada Pinkett Smith , will then be dropping her new album immediately after the exhibition.
