A Friendswood babysitter has been indicted by a Galveston County grand jury on child endangerment charges after she allegedly covered a child’s face with a cloth or blanket and then failed to seek  emergency care, according to court records.

Taylor Leigh Hrabovsky, 22, surrendered to Galveston County authorities on Aug. 5. Hrabovsky is charged with the state jail felony of endangering a child.

A Friendswood Police investigation concluded Hrabovsky “knowingly and recklessly” placed a child that was in her care in “imminent danger of death, bodily injury or physical or mental impairment” after she allegedly covered the child’s face with a “blanket or cloth,” according to court documents.

The charges also accuse Hrabovsky of not taking the child to a “designated emergency infant care provider,” after the May 8 incident, according to court documents. She posted bail on $2,000 bond the same day she surrendered.
