ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The last thing Lauren remembered thinking was that she was going to die.The man who’d offered her a lift a few minutes before at a busy Anchorage gas station was suddenly on top of her, his hands around her throat.“I just remember trying to say something and I couldn’t get it out,” she recalled through tears. “I was trying to breathe and I couldn’t take one breath.”She thought of her family.
